Folk Night
Every Tuesday night there is Folk Night in the Reverie. It’s becoming something of an institution in the folk scene. Folk enthusiasts turn up and play any time after 9pm. Musical instruments range from the Northumberland bagpipes, Irish drums, guitars, fiddles to name but a few.

Strollers Blues
Strollers trio are a band of wandering musicians from all over the world who have convened in Edinburgh. With a shared love of the blues/jazz and funk they will take you on a journey of cool with their quirky interpretation of some classic tunes! From 9pm onwards.

GT’s
The GTs are two well-loved veterans of the Edinburgh music scene, Graham Weir and Tudor Morris. They perform a dynamic mix of blues, country, rock and soul; they’ll back anyone who wants to get up and sing, and they love to get people dancing! Soul standards, tearjerking ballads, tasty rockers and NO miserable student anthems! The fun starts at 9pm.

Jack Babcock’s Folk Music
Join John Babcock’s open folk session for an evening of Scottish music. Foot tapping starts at 9pm.

Hot Tin Roof
They’re a Jazz / Blues duo with stripped-back blues (originals & covers) recreating an intimate bar in the Deep South, from 9pm.

Funked Up
We’re all funky at the Reverie tonight! Funked Up are a band from New York  – get down like James Brown in Funky town.  The fun starts around 9pm.

Old Dollar Bill
The story so far… Ed and Stephen met in July 2009. From that point on they have played together as a duo and along with friends/musicians from all over the world. The Edinburgh Festival catapulted their popularity and the unique style of Bluegrass and Alternative Country music they perform. What you hear is what you get…LIVE! Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/olddollarbill.

Diplomats of Jazz
Since the late 1980s The Diplomats of Jazz, led by Jim Petrie, have been part of the regular Edinburgh traditional jazz scene.  They are a “national treasure” who share a love of the classic jazz orchestras of the twenties and thirties. They ooze passion and great emotional power. Click here to hear them playing in the Reverie. It start at 8:30 so get your tapping feet ready.

Bluegrass Americana
This is where folk meets blues and jazz. It’s a form of American roots music inspired by the immigrants of the UK and Ireland. Musicians turn up to play, instruments usually include banjoes, fiddles, big bass, acoustic guitar, mandolins, accompanied by vocals. Come and join us for a night of Americana from 9pm.

The Citizens
Accommpanied by percussionist and djembe player (David J Ramsay), in-demand guitarist and vocalist Andy Smith plays acoustic versions of popular classics, covering styles such as pop, rock & blues as well as his own material. A new combo onto Edinburgh’s live music who are gaining a good following, they engage well with the audience and inspire dancing and smiles from 9pm onwards!
