Rev~er~ie (noun) meaning a state of pleasant dreamy thought, one of pure happiness. To be in a Reverie is to be in one of the single most blissful states of being.
And you thought you were just coming in for a pint! At the Reverie we aim to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Whether you have come in for a good pint of ale, a nip from one of our 60 selection of malts, to taste our delicious and freshly cooked meals, or to listen to one of the varied bands that play here. Either way we hope you leave in a state of Reverie!

Yes …. it is a sad day. We have sold our sister company the Metropole. We have owned the cafe for 7 years and we felt that it was time to move on. We are sad to say goodbye to such a happy business but we are looking forward to spending more time at the Reverie!
Thank you to all of our custmers over the years and hope to see you at the Reverie instead!

Can you believe it is that time again!!! Yup – Christmas Menu is now out. As normal it looks, sounds and tastes delicious! Try a juniper crusted salmon fillet, or a slow braised beef shin, or for the traditionalists amoung you the roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings which is also served with white grape sauce – unbelievable!

Ever wanted to eat with your bare hands? Rip apart a chicken, drink from goblets and burb contentedly?
Well now you can at the Reverie and all for £12.95 per person! In celebration of Halloween we are laying on a Medieval style banquet for you and your friends to gorge on. Fancy dress is optional, although you might look out of place without a couple of fangs or red hair.

The Reverie now can allow children into the pub! We have finally obtained a Family Licence which allows children older than 5 years old to accompany their parents into the Reverie for a meal. They have to leave by 9pm mind – time for their beds!

Reverie’s next Scottish Night is next Tuesday 3rd August. The dinner includes a 4 course Scottish menu, 4 whisky tastings from around the four whisky regions of Scotland, with vivid desciptions and tasting notes, plus live Scottish Folk music. We are absolutely mobbed here with a sea of orange. Ed has been interviewed by Forth One, had his photo taken for the Sunday Mail and now BBC Radio Scotland are here taking interviews and recordings. Unbelievable the amount of coverage we are getting on this!!!! Hup Hup Holland!!!

Yes! We are actually getting televisions especially so that you can enjoy the World Cup this year. There will be two plasma tv’s (55″ and 42″) where you can watch the latest action from South Africa.
We are also going to be serving free soup through each lunchtime match, and each match day there will be speciality foods from that country being served. More to come soon …….
